This is something that I know for a fact that has happened in great numbers and most of us are very familiar with - the day we decide to join and start in Network Marketing. You are very much excited, maybe a little nerves. You are getting welcome emails and congratulations from business teammates and here is when you get caught up in the emotions and says to yourself “I am going to make hundreds if thousands in just a few months. With this motivation and this great product I am going to make a killing. Wait until my family sees this!”

Then you go out there call and visit every family member that you can and then you chase down all your friends and if you are not burned out yet you are going after strangers and buying leads that are hanging up at your face before you even say hello. This does not sound like successful start.

They are some things that you must do first if you want a successful start in you own MLM business.

First- Do NOT Get Caught Up In The Hype.

A lot of us fail on a successful start in network marketing because of this very emotional moment. We hear the extraordinary stories and testimonials on how this people made it to the top in a few months but in reality only a very small percentage makes it that quick. We do not how much they sacrificed or invested or who they knew and where they exactly were when everything happened.

Second - Learn Before You Earn.

We spend a lot for money in promotional tools, company product and even home meetings before we even understand how things works in our opportunity. I know that there are cases when your mentor has put you in to the “fast start” program to help you make money quick so you don’t quit but the honest truth is that if you really want to succeed you will go through the learning curve first. Don’t worry about making a cent focus on learning. Invest at least 30 days before you even expect to earn a dime. It be worth it.

Third- Build Your Name.

The only way you can build (I like to call it branding) is by learning about the aspects of the business and industry. When your prospects see that you carry great knowledge about things in your business they will see you as the expert or “GURU”. Brand yourself build value from you to the prospects and will have a successful start. NEVER brand your expert brand yourself is the only way on how to start a successful network marketing business online. Quick tip! Begin to “brand” your name on the search engines. Go to Hub Pages and Free-Press-Release and start writing about things you know. Get your name out there.
